Health & Wellbeing Courses
Yoga
Our Yoga classes for adults are designed to improve flexibility, strength, balance, and overall wellbeing. Classes are offered at the following times:
- Monday mornings: 2 classes
- Wednesday mornings: 2 classes
- Thursday evenings: 2 classes
Each session provides a supportive and welcoming environment where participants can reduce stress, improve posture, enhance mental focus, and boost overall physical and emotional health. Yoga helps adults feel stronger, calmer, and more connected to their body and mind, making it a valuable practice for both physical and mental wellbeing. Cost: $110 per term.
Meditation
Join our Meditation class on Friday mornings from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM, designed specifically for adults. Over 10 weeks, you’ll learn techniques to relax, reduce stress, improve focus, and enhance overall wellbeing in a calm, supportive environment.
The class costs $150 per term, giving you the opportunity to develop a regular meditation practice and experience the benefits of mindfulness.
Arts & Crafts Courses
Introduction to Floristry
Our Introduction to Floristry class is perfect for beginners who want to explore the art of flower arranging. Over the course, participants will learn essential skills such as selecting and preparing flowers, creating beautiful arrangements, and understanding design principles and colour combinations.
Classes are hands-on and practical, allowing participants to create their own floral designs while gaining confidence and creativity. This class is ideal for anyone looking to develop a new hobby, enhance their creative skills, or start a pathway into floristry.
Dressmaking
Our Dressmaking class is perfect for beginners and experienced sewers looking to enhance their skills and creativity. Participants will learn fundamental techniques, including measuring, cutting, sewing, and finishing garments, as well as tips for alterations and creating custom designs.
Classes are interactive and creative, allowing participants to work on their own clothing projects in a supportive and inspiring environment. This class is ideal for anyone looking to develop a new hobby, refine sewing skills, or explore fashion design.
Cake Decorating
Our Cake Decorating class is perfect for beginners and experienced bakers who want to learn the art of creating beautiful cakes and desserts. Participants will explore techniques such as icing, piping, fondant work, and decorative finishing, gaining the skills to design stunning cakes for any occasion.
Classes are creative, allowing participants to practice their skills on real projects in a supportive and inspiring environment. This class is ideal for anyone looking to develop a fun new hobby, enhance baking skills, or explore creative cake design.
Embroidery – Including Stump-work
Our Embroidery class welcomes both beginners and experienced stitchers who want to explore and refine their needlework skills. Participants will learn techniques such as hand stitching, pattern creation, threadwork, and decorative embellishments, giving them the tools to make unique, personalised projects.
The class is creative and engaging, offering plenty of time to practice skills on individual projects. It’s perfect for anyone looking to develop a relaxing hobby, enhance their craft skills, or express creativity through embroidery.
Patchwork
Our Patchwork class welcomes those new to patchwork as well as more experienced quilters who enjoy working with fabric and creating beautiful handmade pieces. Participants will learn a variety of patchwork techniques, including cutting, piecing fabrics together, and assembling designs to create quilts and other projects.
The class offers a friendly and welcoming setting where participants can build their patchwork skills, exchange ideas, and work on their own projects.
Each participant works on a Sampler Quilt exploring many different quilting techniques.
Kids & Teens Courses
Kids Sewing
Our Kids Sewing class is designed for children aged 7 to 12 years who are interested in learning the basics of sewing in a fun and supportive environment. Children will be introduced to basic sewing techniques, including how to safely use a sewing machine, cut fabric, and create simple sewing projects.
Throughout the term, students will work on creative projects such as bags, aprons, quilts, and other small sewing items, helping them build confidence, develop practical skills, and express their creativity. The class encourages patience, problem-solving, and pride in making something by hand while learning a valuable lifelong skill.
The class is held on Mondays & Wednesdays from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM.
Teen Sewing
Our Teen Sewing class is for 13 to 17-year-olds who want to enhance their sewing skills and explore creative projects in a fun, supportive environment. Participants will learn practical sewing techniques, including using a sewing machine, cutting fabric, stitching, and constructing garments or accessories.
During the term, students will work on projects such as outfits, t-shirts, pants, dresses, or other creative sewing items, helping them gain confidence, develop practical skills, and express their creativity. The class encourages patience, problem-solving, and pride in making something by hand, while building skills they can use for years to come.
The class is held on Thursday evenings from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM.
Kids Art
Our Kids Art class is designed for children aged 7 years and above and provides a fun and creative space where kids can explore different art techniques and express their imagination. Throughout the term, children will work on a variety of creative projects such as art collage, acrylic painting, pottery, and wool basket making.
Some examples of activities may include painting flowers in a meadow, creating pottery and painting them, making wool baskets, painting birds, and designing their own art collages. The class encourages creativity, confidence, and enjoyment of art in a supportive and engaging environment.
Classes are held on Tuesdays or Thursdays from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM, and the cost is $75 per term.
