This course runs during school terms.
During this course you will learn the basics of Dressmaking, this includes how to use a Sewing Machine and an Overlocker, understanding patterns Basic sewing skills and Garment construction skills.
It is an introduction for students wishing to seek employment in the textile field.
This is an ACFE funded Course.

Course Outline

In this course student’s will gain an understanding of:

Sewing Machine
Overlocker
Commercial patterns
Basic sewing
Garment construction skills

Beginners make funky flannelette PJs which include:

Button holes
Collar
Pocket
Sleeves
Drawstring cased pants

Materials

A course kit will be provided in the first lesson only. A list of other requirements will be issued upon enrolments.
